About Actopia
Actopia is an IT support, telephony and web hosting company, serving Aylesbury Vale and beyond. It was recently acquired by CMC Technology Group.
How we got here
In 1993 Active Technology was founded to build and support high-spec PCs, servers and networks for local businesses and enthusiasts. In later years it spawned other brands such as Active MediaForge, for Internet and web solutions, and Active PC, to promote specialist and gaming PCs.
In 2003, the company adapted to the growth it was experiencing and so the name Actopia came to encompass the various brands – it was no coincidence that this name sounds like utopia. By 2012 the Actopia logo was realised and later refined.
In 2013, Actopia adapted once again to a changing marketplace and economy by embracing new technologies, like business telephone systems, and launched TritonVoIP. The aim was to continue to be the only resource for the technology needs of businesses in Aylesbury and surrounding areas.
The brand
In its 30th year, Actopia’s brand and tag line were updated to reflect a refreshed approach and direction, after having been brought into the fold of CMC Technology Group in 2021. With the same great trusted people, and additional investment, Actopia continues to deliver, now with ‘Next-level technology.’
